Overview:

  • As a Field Applications Engineer, you’ll be part of our Business Development team, helping customers and partners understand and use Trimble’s GNSS positioning technology. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys both technical problem-solving and working with people. We’re looking for someone who is eager to grow into a technical expert in GNSS precise positioning and corrections services, and who enjoys supporting customers through the early stages of projects — from design and testing through to implementation. You will be provided with mentoring and training and will be involved in the following activities:

     

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working within the business development team providing pre-sales technical support for prospective customers and partners. This includes participating in customer presentations and RFQ/RFP responses.

  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of the Trimble precise positioning products and GNSS corrections services and how they can be used for Automotive, LBS, IoT & Telecoms applications.

    • Managing proof-of-concept field trials, and product and service testing as part of the business development cycle.

    • Conducting GNSS data analysis activities to provide the first level assessments of the results achieved from proof-of-concept field trials and testing.

    • Be the point of contact for technical communication regarding Trimble’s GNSS precise positioning technology and corrections services between the key account (or partner) and Trimble

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills — comfortable presenting, writing, and listening to different audiences.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Korean.

  • A proactive, independent working style with a willingness to learn.

  • A technical degree (e.g., engineering, geospatial, computer science, telecommunications, or a related field).

  • Around 2+ years of experience in one of the following areas:

    • Geospatial technologies, IIoT or telecommunications, Automotive or mobile systems or Other industries using GNSS or positioning technology

  • A valid driver’s license (field testing may require local travel).

  • If you’ve had exposure to any of the following, that’s a bonus — but don’t worry if you haven’t:

  • GNSS precise positioning or correction services.

  • Mobile network architecture, automotive systems, or IoT devices.

  • Tools like MATLAB, Python, or other scripting languages.

  • Knowledge of IT and cyber security best practices.
